BAHRAIN: The culinary fiesta stretched over the last three days of April dazzled Residents of Manama, the capital of Bahrain. The 7th Annual Food & Hospitality Expo held at Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Center.

The elaborate, ethnic, authentic and innovative alimentary heritage left a magic spell over the dedicated visitors and cosmopolitan food connoisseurs of the fair. Chef Roberto Macchioni flew all the way from Modena city located in Emilia Romana region to display his classic Italian Fondue of Parmigiano, while chef Majeed of Mercure Grand Seef Hotel served tasty Sea Bass fillets marinated in creamy sauce.

Lucky winners. Donalyn Ramos from Fridays restaurants at the City Center mall tempted her onlookers with a smooth Carrot cake. Ola Gamal Eldeen represented the Egyptian Tourist Authority and awarded a couple of lucky winners a tour package to visit Cairo and indulge in the popular Sharm El-Sheikh Red Sea Resort.

Chef Yann Lejard of the Ritz Carlton mesmerized his excited audience with The Wagu Black Burger coated with golden leaves and Foie Gras, and Preetam Singh of the Diplomat Radisson Blu surprised his audience with fresh Duck Ravioli with Raspberry Sauce.

The Turkish chefs of Guzel restaurants monopolized the Grand Finale of the live Cooking shows for three consecutive evenings. Chef Bulent Sertel served a striking Sultan Ahmet Chicken and chef Huseyin Kuday flambéed a Vali Clay Pot, a steamy Flavoured Beef casserole.

Fish and crispy Duck. Chef Sahil of the Gulf hotel served a stunning Chilli Garlic Hammour, The last day of the show was crowded but chef Rustan Ramierz of Alareen Palace & Spa served a Crispy Peking Duck with Hoisin Sauce. The Sheraton Bahrain dream team headed by Chef De Silva created a romantic three layered velvet wedding cake that inspired potential lovers to head for the Golden cage! Chef Jerson Aber turned watermelons and Pumpkins to masterpieces worthy of the New York Museum of Modern Art.

Joyful Event. The super-talented and veteran Thai chef Suwimol Larpngoen of the Gulf Hotel carved fruits and turned them to soaring birds and humming nightingales. Le Bateau local pastry shop displayed a humongous fluffy delicious Victoria cake that weighed over 200 kg and stretched over 6 feet long.

Hassan Jaffar, CEO of the Bahrain Exhibition & Convention Center awarded Participating chefs in the live cooking shows a plaque to commemorate the 7th Annual joyful event of the Food & Hospitality expo.

The fiesta attracted thousands of visitors and will continue at the next year Food Expo in Bahrain.
