SWITZERLAND has a special service from guests from abroad, including exclusive tickets, fare reductions on mountain railways and panorama routes. With one ticket you can travel by road, rail and waterway – with the Swiss Travel System.

So far the result has been more foreign guests travelling by Swiss public network. Renowned rail routes such as the Glacier Express, Bernina Express and Golden Pass Line have long enjoyed international acclaim. But tourists from abroad also get a range of travel opportunities by train, bus and boat, reaching into every corner of the country.

SWITZERLAND

Swiss Pass. The most popular ticket is the Swiss Pass, which gives free travel on the entire network, as well as public transport in the cities, free admission to more than 470 museums and discounts on the most funiculars, cable cars and cog railways. Children under the age of 16 travel free accompanied by at least one parent.

Glacier Express. One of the most beautiful aspects of the Alps of Switzerland is Glacier Express, mountain scenery between St Moritz/Davos and Zermatt on an 8-hour journey in the world’s slowest express train. The train climbs to its peak over the Oberalppass at an altitude of 2,033 meters.
