40 Chefs provide food and drinks for all tastes next to river Nile
LUXOR, EGYPT: After visiting the historic places along the Nile River, nothing feels better than relaxing on a paradise island, a five star, private owned and elegant bungalow-style paradise island. The peaceful and laid-back Jolie Ville is a true escape, either you are King, Queen or simple a first time visitor to Egypt.
I arrived Jolie Ville Luxor a dark evening and early next morning I woke up birds singing countless of songs while I study the red sunrise from my terrace and some fishermen on Feluccas criss-crossing the river.

Location. Hotel Jolie Ville is a deluxe property set in over 63 hectares located on Kings Island next to River Nile, 18 km from Luxor International Airport and 3 km from centre of Luxor. You can choose between 3 Royal Villas and 650 rooms, including 24 suits.
My room. I stayed in a villa having one spacious bedroom, one living room and two bathrooms. My room had TV and internet and was renovated to the latest standard.
Ascot Bar for Cocktails
Food and drink. A staff of 40 Chefs provides food and drinks for all tastes and occasions. Le Fleur a la Carte restaurant served French style food, Italian food at restaurant Zigolini and International buffet with a view at the main restaurant. There are several other alternatives, including Ascot Bar for Cocktails and Party.
Activities. Two children´s pool, 2 outdoor pool, sunbeds, 4 tennis courts, Volley ball court, Fitness centre, Spa providing massages, hairdressing and 24-hour room service. Garden with mini zoo and a paradise for bird lovers.
Garden and meat
Style. The hotel is quiet, spacious and peaceful and you feel it after passing the road bridge from the mainland. Jolie Ville is not like other hotels, as they have a garden for vegetables and another for delivering chicken and meat from own cattle farm on the island.
Service. The huge amount of staff is well trained and friendly. Most of them speaks English or German and they make your stay memorable.
Downside. The entertainment here was Egyptian music blaring out – the worse I have ever seen and heard.

Value for money? Yes, absolutely. Villas costs from 44 UK Pounds / 48 Euros per night for two persons, breakfast included. Talking about price level, my tasty Pastry stuffed with seafood at Le Fleur costs 3 Pounds or 4 Euros. It has never been cheaper to go on holiday in Egypt, included this Paradise island.

Dear Gudmund
It was a pleasure to meet you at Jolie Ville. I enjoyed reading your interesting trip report on the hotel and on Luxor. I wish you well with your future travels – maybe we meet up again in some far distant place. We are off to the Faroes next summer (not quite like a Luxor summer – or even winter!) and I will look for any of your reports from there.
Richard
