Meet Miss Renewal: Face Up with her Natural Aesthetic!

“Think of it as restoration, not alteration. Like returning a painting to its original vibrancy”

COSTA DEL SOL, SPAIN: The sunlight spills through large windows into a pristine clinic in Arroyo de la Miel. The space is modern yet welcoming – clinical white. Where Dr. Yuliana Guerrero has built what she calls her “sanctuary of renewal,” a space where natural aesthetic medicine meets genuine human connection.

“I’m terrified of looking fake,” admits a first-time patient. “My friends keep warning me I’ll end up looking plastic.”

It’s a concern Dr. Guerrero has heard countless times.
“That’s not what we do here,” she assures in a warm, confident tone that has become her professional signature. “In my practice, we follow the line of naturalness. The goal isn’t to look different – it’s to look like yourself, but refreshed.”

As she explains the proposed treatment plan – beginning with a thorough facial cleansing, followed by collagen inducers to improve skin elasticity, and finally, carefully placed neuromodulators to soften expression lines – the tension visibly melts from the patient´s shoulders.

From Colombia to Costa del Sol

The journey that brought Dr. Guerrero to this sunlit clinic in southern Spain spans continents and embodies perseverance against considerable odds.

Growing up in Barranquilla, Colombia, young Yuliana harbored medical ambitions despite limited resources. During her university years, she often relied on textbooks borrowed from more affluent classmates. Nevertheless, her determination prevailed, and she graduated with a medical degree at just twenty-one.

“Colombia will always be my homeland,” Dr. Guerrero reflects during a rare quiet moment between appointments. “But the economic instability and security concerns there pushed me toward a difficult choice – to seek opportunities elsewhere.”

Her first landing place was Cancun, Mexico – a destination where the beauty industry thrives amidst tourism and luxury. For three years, she worked as a surgical assistant in plastic surgery, absorbing every technique and insight she could.

“Those operating rooms were my real classroom,” she recalls. “Watching skilled surgeons reshape features and restore confidence – that’s where I discovered my true calling wasn’t in dramatic surgical transformations but in the subtle art of enhancement and prevention.”

Five years ago, she brought her talents to Spain’s sun-drenched southern coast, establishing a practice that embodies her guiding philosophy that aesthetic medicine should honor the natural beauty of each face, and that the best results are those that make people feel like themselves, only better.

Natural Aesthetic improvement

“You’ll feel a small pinch,” Dr. Guerrero warns as she carefully administers a neuromodulator injection to another patient later that day. “And remember, the full results will take about two weeks to develop.”

Another patient – a local hotel manager in her forties – already looks refreshed from the facial cleansing that began her session, and she reports that the collagen treatment was “surprisingly comfortable.”

There was the young woman whose acne scars had undermined her confidence for years; the older gentleman who wanted his exterior to reflect the energy he still felt inside; the anxious bride seeking a radiant complexion for her wedding day.

One patient in particular often comes to mind – a literature professor from the nearby University of Málaga who came to the clinic with deep hollows under her eyes.

When nothing helped

“My students ask if I’m ill,” the professor explained. “I’ve tried everything, expensive creams, more sleep, diet changes. Nothing helps.”

A single treatment session targeting those troublesome under-eye hollows transformed not just her appearance but her entire sense of self. Two months after the procedure, she returned to Yuliana’s clinic bearing a thoughtful gift – a beautifully bound book of poetry.

“For the first time in years I can focus on my students’ words instead of worrying about what they see when they look at me.”

It’s success stories like these that fuel Dr. Guerrero’s passion for her work—moments when aesthetic improvements translate into profound personal transformation.

Science Meets Artistry

“Aesthetic medicine isn’t only about appearance. It’s about wellness from the inside out. When we support the body’s natural functions and address both internal and external factors, the results are more profound and lasting.”

This holistic approach stems from her dual training as both an emergency physician and an aesthetic medicine specialist – a combination that gives her a comprehensive understanding of the human body and its systems.

Dr. Guerrero’s clinic offers treatments starting at €100, with fine line correction beginning at €250 and intravenous therapy from €150. For those curious about results, her Instagram account (@dra.yuliana_guerrero) showcases various procedures and satisfied patients.
