Around The World – A Speedy Lifetime Venture is on

Join my Race from Arctic in Norway to Antarctica in Argentina

About sprinting the World with Masters, speedy feet, and long-term goals

On the road again: Around the World
On the road again: Around the World

AROUND THE WORLD: Follow the action! Some advice is better than other and one of the best came from a veteran travel-reporter. “Once a year, go someplace you’ve never been before”. Thank you very much, I said. Since way back I`ve follow this advice. Life is a journey and now I continue my once-in-a-lifetime venture – Around the World in 80 Lanes.

RUNNING DUBAI DESERT: HOT SAND AND COLD CAMEL MILK

More than a journey

My journey is under way with ambition to visit all parts of the world and several countries. I will report to readers and followers about local culture, traditions, traditional food, meeting people and deliver travel advice. However, this is more than normal journey. This is also about running the world – competing 100m and 200m sprint with veterans and masters mainly in stadiums.

“Around the world in 80 lanes” will prove that a newborn veteran sprinter has speedy feet and long-term goals. But personal records and better physical shape can only be reached by ongoing training.

From Arctic to Antarctica

Officially “Around the World” kicked off summer 2023 at Hammerfest Stadium in Norway along with veterans in the World’s Northernmost city. According to plan, my final run around the World will be performed in Ushuaía, Argentina, the World’s Southernmost city. Don’t ask when the last sprint is going to happen.

Crossing the World

This project grew out of the famous book “Around the Earth in 80 days”. While author Jules Verne´s story was fiction, the new “Around the World…” is real, authentic, and self-experienced. My journey around the globe will certainly take more than eighty days.

The trip continues crisscrossing, east, west and above all southwards to destinations decided after a bit of planning. I continue to run and explore the world by a compass not a clock.
