The Kempinski Budapest is a great choice for a short weekend break or business trip. It has all the amenities that a 5 star hotel should have, and the location is excellent. I would particularly recommend their Benediction Brunch on the weekend, as the food was excellent and the atmosphere was very relaxing.

Kempinski’s new Benediction Brunch was fabulous

BUDAPEST: The Kempinski Corvinus brings new age chic to the 5-star hotel scene in Budapest. Refurbished, this hotel has eschewed the old-world style of many of its counterparts in favour of a more modern minimalist approach with glass and metal featuring prominently in its design. The vibe is urban and casual, a place for the trendy traveller to come and relax.

Location: In terms of location, you can’t get better than the Kempinski Corvinus. On one side is the city’s main shopping street. The other is Deák Ferenc Tér, the city’s main metro station and the only transfer point for lines M1, M2, and M3.

Room on top floor

Accommodation: We stayed in a deluxe room on the top floor. I was of course delighted with the selection of welcome treats when we entered the room. There was plenty of space and a gorgeous wooden desk decorated the corner. My favourite part of our room was the bathroom, with its glistening marble top counters and luxurious bathrobes. However, I was disappointed that the toiletries were not automatically refilled after the first night.

Dine at Nobu

The Kempinski Corvinus in Budapest is home to the world famous Nobu restaurant. This particular Nobu is the only one in central Europe and is popular with guests and local residents a like.
A more casual dining option is ‘Es Bisztro’, which provides a brassiere setting with Hungarian, Viennese, and international cuisine.
During our stay we dined at the Living Room for the Kempinski’s new Benediction Brunch, which was fabulous, I honestly could not fault the food or the atmosphere. It was so relaxing; you could easily pass a day there just indulging in good food and splendid Hungarian wine.

We also had breakfast at the hotel, where we were impressed with the wide selection on offer. Unfortunately, we did find the layout rather confusing and it was a little chaotic.

Spa, Pool and Gym

Facilities: The Kempinski has a full spa with a swimming pool and gym. The pool is the perfect place to unwind after a busy day site seeing, and it is beautiful designed to fit the space with a big window overlooking a park.
