My City in Egypt; Malin lives in Sun, Wind and great Vibes

Sunny days all year, amazing for kite boarding…

My City: El Gouna, Egypt
Name: Malin Amle

Born: 1988
Profession: Professional Kite boarder
Where do you live? El Gouna, Egypt
Here I grew up: Oslo, Norway
My City: I visit El Gouna due to the fact that it is sunny 360 days a year and that it has amazing kite boarding conditions!

My first memory: First memory was coming here in 2009 for a kite-boarding holiday. I fell in love with the place straight away; sun, wind and great vibes!

My favorite place to eat: White Elephant and Kan Zaman in Downtown, El Gouna.
White Elephant: El Balad, Downtown, El Gouna, Egypt
Kan Zaman: El Balad, Downtown, El Gouna, Egypt

What do you eat there? Pad Thai, Spring Rolls, Curry, Grilled Fish with Oriental Salad, plus Tahina and Eggplant salad.

Meet the locals: Meeting place during the day is either Buzzah Beach at Kite boarding Club or Sliders Cable Park. Meeting place during the night is usually somewhere in Downtown or the Marina.
Kite boarding Club: Northern Mangroovy Beach, Kite Centers St, El Gouna, Hurghada
Sliders Cable Park: Sabina Area, El Gouna

My favorite bar: Club House, where most locals meet for drinks on Sunday evenings.
Club House: Downtown in Kafr, El Gouna

Best place for a first date: Le Garage in the Marina is great because it has a beautiful ocean view. Le Garage: Shop Nr. MB 13-05, Abu Tig Marina, El Gouna

My secret place

If I told it wouldn’t be a secret, would it!

My best advice: El Gouna is the perfect place for water sports, so I would go here if you were interested in that. Otherwise there are beaches for chilling out, as well as great restaurants and nightclubs. So anyone could enjoy a nice holiday here, even though it’s best for water sports enthusiasts!

Taxi or other local transport? You can grab a tuc tuc easily anywhere in the city for 1 dollar.

Keep away of: There is not much you have to stay away from in this town, as everything is very clean and safe here. That´s why El Gouna became my city in Egypt.
