ÖLAND, SWEDEN: Located on the island of Öland, artist Robert Oldergaard continue to blow art of glass for sale as well as organising classes for those looking to learn more. With more than 30 years of experience, Robert ensure that every piece is created as perfectly as it can possibly be. In addition to large art pieces Robert also create rings and jewellery of silver.
Worked at Orrefors. “This work is my speciality, I’m the best glass artist in Sweden”, Robert declares without being embarrassed. Hard to argue with an expert like Robert who has worked at famous Orrefors Kosta Boda and for ten years he was teaching new talents at the Orrefors school of glass art.
After given the world beautiful crystal and glass for more than 100 years, the Swedish factory closed down and became history in 2012.

“After Orrefors was history I managed to buy some of the ovens, the most important equipment in order to create art of glass”, Robert says. In the middle of Öland he built up his own art center with girlfriend and artist, Maria Milton Loheden. Together they tour Sweden with exhibitions of glass art and colorful paintings, made by Maria. Their Art center Oldergaarden Triberga is open for visit any time of the year and also for those who want to learn some of those famous techniques of hot and cold glass.

“I guarantee there is nothing else like these pieces in the world”, the famous Swedish glass artist proclaim. Maria Milton Loheden is working with her paintings, but she also creates glass art and utility glass. Her paintings and creations are as colourful as she is.
