The High Life in Copenhagen is perfect for business

Bella Sky is the largest hotel I have every stayed at with over 800 rooms and suites

Copenhagen: The Danish capital is fast becoming a real hot spot destination with several low cost carrier airlines flying into the city. With this has come new hotels and creative new design concepts. Marriott opened the AC Bella Sky, gleaming glass structure that towers into the Copenhagen skyline and is Scandinavia’s largest design hotel. This is how to live the high life in Copenhagen.

Location near metro

The AC Bella Sky is conveniently connected to the airport by a free shuttle service. Once at the hotel you will find the metro station is right next to the hotel. The metro is a 24 hour service and it takes about 10 minutes to get into the city center. Although the AC Bella is not in the city center itself it provides a nice compromise between the center and the airport making it ideal for business travel or for a short weekend break.

The AC Bella Sky is without doubt the largest hotel I have every stayed at with over 800 rooms and suites. All rooms have floor to ceiling windows giving guest expansive views over the horizon. The rooms themselves are fitted with crisp clean black and white décor and an impressive usage of space. One aspect they could improve on was that the rooms were slightly lacking in amenities such as bathrobes, slippers, and dental kits. However, they did have the crucial amenity of free and fast Wi-Fi!

The AC Bella Sky is well able to handle the huge number of guests with several bars and restaurants to choose from. For breakfast we dined in the library restaurant surrounded by shelves of books. The breakfast buffet was endless spanning 10 tables filled with pancakes, eggs, bacon, smoothies, fresh fruit, and on and on the list goes! The most notable of the dining areas is the Sky Bar on the 23rd floor offering panoramic views over Copenhagen as you sip on your cocktails.

In tower 2… yes tower 2! There is a full pool and gym complex available to guests at a cost of DKK 150 per use. The spa is also located in tower 2 and there is a wide range of treatments on offer. Although I was there for a weekend trip I did notice that the hotel is well equipped for large conferences with huge rooms available for booking.

Why stay here

The AC Bella Sky is an incredibly functional hotel with a fantastic design theme. It is also very stylish and modern with a great location close to both the airport and the city center. This is the ideal hotel for the business traveller.
