They offer three-course dinner and menu with Irish and European style
DUBLIN: If you are looking for a good night’s sleep and little rest a bit away from Dublin’s hectic areas. As my review from Maldron Hotel tells, this hotel is a good option on the north side of river Liffey.
Location: I was afraid the location was a bit far out and not ideal for walking home from Temple Bar area at night. However, it was great and close to major places and a safe, decent walk. The shopping area starts at O’Connell Street. Happy we booked a tiny bit out of the city centre. Moreover, we had a car and so parking was more convenient compare with a stay in city centre. Easy of getting to airport as well.
Our Room
Our double room was spacious with comfortable bed, sitting area, Wi-Fi and TV with the main international channels. It was a bit noisy due to the traffic outside, but the air conditioning makes it possible to sleep with window closed. Our room had no minibar. It’s not a luxury room in not a luxury hotel, but on the high end of the “good-hotel”-scala.
Food and drink
Full English and Continental breakfast at the hotel’s café. A small selection of juices, yogurt and jam along with homemade Guinness bread and hot pancakes. Gluten-free options are available.
For lunch you can enjoy salads or sandwiches at Stir Café & Bar. In the evening they serve three-course dinner for 18 euro, and from the menu offering Irish and European dishes of meat, fish and chicken.
Staff of help
The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. They also had a selection of simple toiletries and adapters available to guests. This is a three star hotel providing five starservice. Excellent service and close to shops and restaurants. Spacious rooms always help to lift the stay away from home.
Minus: I missed a minibar, the only to complain in a review from Maldron Hotel
Value: For 100 euro you get a clean and specious room, a good night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast. I would definitely book again as the price was excellent for what we got.
