Anne von Porat about her fav city

Uppsala is a mix of a picturesque countryside and vibrancy of a big city, located only 38 minutes by train from Stockholm and 18 minutes from Arlanda Airport. Uppsala is the home city of IT-Girl Anne.
“I am a living in Uppsala and started blogging 10 years ago. After 6 month I became the most powerful blogger in Uppsala and had my own radio show every Sunday. I appeared on TV and my blog has more than 90,000 visitors a week. Here are places I hang out”.

Where do you live? I grew up and live in this city

I like our pink castle

Why do you prefer Uppsala? Mainly because of the pink Castle where the royalties lived 300 years ago. Now only the governor and his wife live there. I also love the Cathedral, which is the oldest Gothic cathedral in the Nordic region and Carolina Redeviva, an old library belonging to the University.

How do you find the best places to eat when you travel? You have a big bridge in Istanbul and in the end of it there is a very popular restaurant who serve kebab and I love it.

My favourite place to eat: Amazing Thai serves sushi and a Thai Buffet. At this restaurant I have all my meetings related to my Blog. Amazing Thai, Vaksalagatan 24.

What do you eat there? My favourites are Chicken and Sushi

Typical local food? Typical local food is pizza with lots of cheese.

This is a student city

Meet the locals: I often go to Carolina Redeviva Library because Uppsala is a student city. If you want to meet locals, you really need to go somewhere connecting to Uppsala university. Address: Carolina Rediviva, Dag Hammarskjölds väg 1, 752 37 Uppsala

My favourite bar: Uppsala Konsert & Kongress is a cultural venue, with a wide range of different musical genres, including a bar on the sixth floor offers a magnificent view of the city in all directions. Address: Vaksala torg 1, Uppsala

Best place for a first date? Ofvandahls Hovkonditori has been café since 1887, and when the Swedish Royal Family come here they sometimes visit this place. Ofvandahls Hovkonditori is a must to visit when you are in Uppsala. Address: Sysslomansgatan 5.

My secret place: My secret place is the cafe at Carolina Rediviva at the Univercity Library mainly because of the silence.  They say the old Headmaster is haunted in this old building. And the building reminds me of the Harry Potter’s movie.

My best advice: A stupid person believes in faith; the smart one believes in herself.

My favourite shop: Jaber in Uppsala has lots of brands  Address: Fyristorg 6.

Another favourite? My favourite is to visit Java Tea House in Stockholm for breakfast and new trends.

Taxi or other local transport: I drive my own car.

Keep away of: Some digital bureau promises lots of visitors to your blog or homepage and they will fool you, take your money and give nothing back.

Portimão Portugal: A Rock on Portugal’s Sandy Algarve Coast

I never heard about Portimão before I came here. A city with beaches, old and modern style, and perfect for my holiday in Portugal.

Best places to visit in Philippines; Heaven on Earth and 140 more

Mystical Province of Love. Christmas Capital. City of Smiles. Heaven on Earth and Surfing Capitals. They all want to stand tall and unique.

Fukuoka City – Street Food, Art, Shopping, Bars and Festivals

Festivals and food. The only thing I like better than writing about food is eating Japanese food – Fukuoka is far more than sushi.
